Frustrating way to learn crimpro This book just makes you drill and kill through endless holdings, without ever articulating broader ideas and themes in criminal procedure. It is slow work to read and study it, and you will need a supplement to help contextualize the bajillion note cases in addition to main cases that you will be copying down.Unorganized, and my professor agrees My professor had two of the authors as teachers when he was in law school decades ago and that is pretty much the only reason why he uses it. The organization is terrible. My professor jumps around from chapter to chapter, makes it hard to keep up. The silly looking cover also looks very out of place amongst my all red or all blue legal casebooks.I bought a used version and was fortunate enough to get one full of very helpful notes. I've stopped reading for class because of it, thank you whoever owned it last!Confusing: shame on the editors. Matt C said it best, it feels like the editors just vomited cases into the casebook. The book is ridiculously confusing and poorly edited. The cases are redacted and resume in varying degrees of non sequitors. I understand it is a confusing area of law, but this casebook makes it worse. It suffers from a lack of organization and categorical laziness that is uncommon in the other casebook I've read.The editors should be ashamed.
